Glass & Textile Workshop

I will join your group for three hours of creativity:
- Selecting your glass pieces, reclaimed from the studios of stained-glass artists and tumbled smooth in my studio
- Securing your fabric of choice into a hoop that’s yours to keep
- Learning and utilizing simple embroidery techniques
- Arranging the elements into your own composition, with pro tips
- Creating an original work of art that’s ready to hang in a window so it can shine!
A beautiful way to draw together in an exercise that promotes conversation, contemplation and connection. Incorporate your own keepsakes if you wish! Give your workshop a theme or leave it totally up to intuition; make it as boisterous or as calming as you wish!
Fee for this Glass & Textile Workshop is $200 + $20 per participant.
A mileage surcharge of $0.80/km will apply to any location outside of Goderich.
And, if you require marketing, printed posters, graphic design, social-media posting and/or posting on my website, I'm able to provide these services at a rate of $40 per hour.

Don't have the elbow room at your place? This workshop can be held at my studio, with space for ten participants!
Address is 44 Victoria St. S, Goderich, Ontario. You'll find me there on Highway 21, *just* north of the five-point stoplight, in between Rexall Pharmacy and Natural Image Spa, through the back door with my name on it.
My studio is in a warm, bright basement, which is accessible via stairs with a rail. There is a washroom upstairs. A large, well-lit parking lot is next door.
A selection of mugs and tiny teaspoons, teacups and saucers or stemless plastic goblets are available for your use. You are welcome to bring along your own adult beverages to enjoy responsibly while we create. I'm happy to brew you up some fresh coffee or decaf, boil the kettle for tea or set out a pitcher of cold, pink lemonade — just let me know!
I've got plates and tongs with which you can serve any little snackies you bring; or, for a little extra, I can have a selection of baked goodies from The Yoga Den prepared for you, too!
The studio is an indoor-footwear zone; you'll want to bring extra socks, indoor shoes or slippers (or borrow a pair from here). If you tend to be a messy artist, wear your "grubbies" or bring a smock to protect your nice clothes (this doesn't really apply to the Glass & Textile Workshop — the only messy part of that is the super glue). Oh, and don't forget your reading glasses!
